The AEQT certifies La Línea Vertical to operate in the facilities of companies in the petrochemical industry.

La Línea Vertical has recently successfully passed an audit by the AEQT (Chemical Business Association of Tarragona) which certifies that our company meets specific safety and quality standards for operating in the facilities of companies in the petrochemical sector, such as those of Dow Chemical.

It is worth remembering that La Línea Vertical has implemented an integrated management system, which is certified in accordance with the ISO 9001 quality, ISO 14001 environmental management system and ISO 45001 occupational health and safety standards. Thus, the AEQT certification is an additional recognition that allows us to demonstrate our commitment to the highest standards in the chemical sector and to guarantee that we comply with the protocols required by our customers.

According to Estefanía Montes, Integrated Management Systems (IMS) technician at La Línea Vertical, the audit for the AEQT certification consisted of ‘an exhaustive review of our processes, procedures and management systems in terms of safety, quality and the environment’.

This required prior preparation work, in which a group of technicians from our company participated, reviewing our internal procedures to ensure that we comply with the AEQT requirements, and carrying out an initial pre-audit with the certifying company to detect opportunities for improvement with a view to the final audit. After implementing the suggested measures, an audit team assessed our compliance with the specific standards required, through field inspection, document review and interview with staff.

After completing the external audit, the audit team has presented the results obtained to a commission, which will be the one to rate La Línea Vertical with a score of 1 to 5 stars. Although we still do not have the final result, the audit team said that it is possible that we may reach 4 stars, a very positive rating for an initial certification. This guarantees that our company meets the necessary requirements and standards to be able to work for AEQT companies, being applicable to all those service companies that have to operate in the facilities of the petrochemical industry.

Specifically, the audit validates that our processes comply with the required standards in occupational safety management to minimise risks, environmental compliance to reduce ecological impact and quality control to provide efficient and safe services. In short, this certification reinforces our position as a reliable company committed to the best practices in the sector.

For La Línea Vertical, having passed this audit is a great achievement and a confirmation of our commitment to safety, quality and sustainability in the chemical sector, thus strengthening the trust of our customers and partners. It also opens the door to new strategic customers, such as Dow Chemical, and gives us a competitive advantage, as it differentiates us in the market by positioning us as a reliable company that is prepared to face the challenges of the chemical sector. It also encourages us to further optimise our processes, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. In short, this certification opens doors to new opportunities and reinforces our reputation and leadership in the sector.

It is worth noting that passing this audit also consolidates a culture of safety, quality and sustainability within La Línea Vertical, as this type of certification helps all employees to become more aware of good working practices, risk reduction and process efficiency. The audit is not just a formal requirement, but a tool that has allowed us to identify opportunities for improvement in our processes. This learning drives us to continue to optimise the way we work and prepare for future industry requirements.

Estefanía Montes wants to emphasise that this recognition has been possible thanks to the teamwork carried out in our company. In this case, it is worth highlighting the participation of the technicians María José Romero, Cristian Aijón and José Ángel Calero.
