ANETVA participates in the International Rope Access Congress in Brazil

The National Association of Rope Access and Work at Height Companies, ANETVA, of which La Línea Vertical is a member, participated in the 12th International Congress on Rope Access (ICRA) held from 3 to 6 October in the Brazilian city of Curitibia. The event was organised by the Brazilian Rope Access Association ANEAC.

During the Congress, the associations that make up the International Committee informed the President of ANETVA of the progress that has been made in terms of the organisation, processes and ordinary documents for managing and controlling the functioning of the entity. They also expressed – as they did in Peru in 2002 – how important it would be for ICRA to have the participation and integration of such a prestigious association as ANETVA.

Íñigo Villaseca was grateful for this offer and signed the agreement to join ICRA, which must be validated and ratified by the association’s governing bodies.

It should be noted that from its creation to the present day, ANETVA’s recognition on an international level has continued to grow and consolidate, and ANETVA’s membership of this Committee represents an important step in the recognition of its internationality. In this regard, it should be noted that ANETVA now has more than 110 member companies throughout Spain and abroad.

La Línea Vertical has been a member of ANETVA for more than 15 years and has been a member of the ANETVA board for more than a decade, being particularly involved in the training committee. Among other things, our company has advocated that the ANETVA training standard is a prerequisite for working in major companies such as Endesa, Cepsa, Repsol, BP or Naturgy. It is worth remembering that ANETVA accreditation is internationally recognised, and our technicians use this certification in the international work we carry out.

The National Association of Rope Access and Work at Height Companies was founded in 1993 to defend and represent rope access work. We can say that thanks to the efforts of ANETVA and the transposition of the European directive, the activity has a basic regulation and rope access work is now on a par with other types of equipment.

Training organised and accredited by this association has not stopped growing either. Since 1997, it has accredited more than 5,300 professionals as rope access technicians, many of them in the training centres of La Línea Vertical. Our Formal Limitless/LLV Formación centre, based in La Línea de la Concepción (Cádiz), is accredited to provide training courses in accordance with ANETVA-ECRA standards.
