During the month of November, La Línea Vertical has started a new project, consisting of the cleaning and anti-corrosion treatment of fuel storage spheres in one of the main port terminals in Peru. This is a crucial task to guarantee the safety and functionality of these structures.
The process began with a detailed inspection of the external surfaces to identify areas affected by corrosion. This was followed by rust removal, ensuring that the surface was thoroughly cleaned and prepared.
After this first phase, the treated spots were washed to remove the salinity and, once the measure required by the paint manufacturer was achieved, the three coats required by the paint manufacturer’s procedure were applied.
To perform this service, our company’s vertical technicians underwent inductions at the paint manufacturer’s premises on the correct use and application of the paint.
This procedure not only ensures the prolongation of the service life of the spheres, but also minimises the operational risks associated with fuel storage.
