G8 Vertical and G8 Capacitaciones recently took part in a comprehensive technical demonstration of fall protection systems at 3M’s innovation centre. During the event, 3M and G8 jointly presented their full range of equipment in Chile, covering both personal protective equipment and fall protection systems.
G8 takes centre stage in the practical module
G8 played a key role in the event, leading the practical demonstration session at the 3M Innovation Centre. In front of 35 attending companies, the team demonstrated the use of various lifeline systems: vertical systems, ideal for accessing towers; horizontal systems, which allow continuous movement along a surface; and overhead systems, installed above the user’s head to provide freedom of movement on complex structures, amongst other solutions and equipment.
Respiratory equipment and regulatory approach
The day’s programme also included a review of Scott respiratory equipment, with a focus on its use in contaminated environments, always from a technical and regulatory perspective. The team of experts from G8, with extensive experience in the field of safety (covering both engineering and safety training), ensured a high-calibre practical experience, reinforcing the knowledge applicable to real-world operations.
Among the highlights of the event were demonstrations of rescue manoeuvres featuring the R550 Evacuator, a piece of equipment renowned for its versatility, comfort and operational capability.
