In this inspection, ultrasonic measurements were carried out, a key procedure to assess the condition of the chimney walls and ensure their structural integrity. Hundreds of measurements were organised, defining the grid of points in advance. This work required constant measurements of the atmosphere to ensure that the working conditions were safe for the team at all times.
During the inspection of these chimneys, access was via ropes, with the technicians suspended in the chimneys and the lowering and fall protection devices, and respiratory protection was worn. The work was carried out with great precision and in compliance with the highest safety standards.
