Inspection in hard-to-reach areas: how LLV turns the impossible into the norm

When access is the problem, we are the solution

In industry, there are structures that need to be inspected but which present a major challenge even before work begins: getting to them. Elevated tanks, active flares, industrial chimneys, facades with complex geometries, and process piping in confined spaces are just some of the scenarios that form part of La Línea Vertical’s day-to-day work. For many companies, these tasks present a problem with no easy solution. For us, they are our speciality.

Safety first, then inspection

La Línea Vertical is a certified member of ANETVA (the National Association of Vertical Work Companies), meeting the technical and safety standards required by Spain’s leading association in the working-at-height sector. Furthermore, all work is carried out by certified technicians who are qualified to operate in demanding industrial environments.

Every job begins long before our technicians even set out. A preliminary assessment of the site, the installation of certified anchor points and the selection of the most suitable access system for each situation are essential steps in our working methodology. It is this planning phase that ensures that everything that follows, the inspection itself, is carried out accurately, without incident and within the timeframe agreed with the client.

Techniques tailored to each structure

There is no one-size-fits-all solution. At La Línea Vertical, we combine rope access, drone inspections and non-destructive testing depending on the specific requirements of each project.

Our technicians, who are certified by prestigious associations such as ANETVA, are also trained and certified to carry out on-site inspections using ultrasound, thermography and eddy current techniques, enabling us to provide our clients not only with access to their facilities, but also with the technical data they need to make informed decisions about them.

When environmental conditions make physical access impractical, unnecessary or inefficient, our inspection drones spring into action: equipped with high-resolution cameras, they enable us to capture detailed images and records without exposing any technicians to avoidable risk.

Rescue, always on hand

Working at height means being prepared for any eventuality. That is why every project undertaken by La Línea Vertical incorporates emergency response protocols from the very outset.

Our Shutdown Support Group (GAP), which has been active since 2005, has accumulated thousands of hours of training in industrial rescue and has been involved in major shutdowns in the energy and petrochemical sectors. This experience enables us to guarantee a rapid and effective response to any incident that may arise during an operation.

Because a safe inspection doesn’t end when the technician arrives at the work site: it ends when they return.
