LLV Chile – G8 Vertical is looking for a Risk Prevention Advisor to join our Technical Office. The main duties include:
- Leading preventive project management, ensuring compliance with all standards and processes required by the client. This includes document management on site, giving talks and induction sessions, conducting field inspections, platform accreditation, and compliance with REECS, Zero Fatality Standards, and other requirements related to occupational health and safety.
- Manage the accreditation of personnel, equipment, and documentation in accordance with customer standards and processes.
- Prepare and implement start-up folders and work programmes for the project, taking into account all preventive measures in accordance with current legal regulations, in conjunction with the Project Manager and Supervisor.
- Implement and monitor compliance with MINSAL protocols and applicable legal requirements.
- Develop and supervise safe working procedures (SWP).
- Issue weekly construction reports.
- Administration, control, and reporting of resources related to Project Risk Prevention management.
- Supervise field work, ensuring compliance with standards established by the client.
- Carry out operational activities in the field (AST/talks/training/etc.).
- Incident reporting and investigation management.
- General administration of the project in matters of Occupational Health and Safety.
Requirements:
- Qualification in Risk Prevention.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience in power stations, industrial plants or equivalent services, working under industrial and/or mining standards, with an emphasis on critical risk management.
Exclusionary requirements:
- Type B driving licence
- Availability for 5×2 shifts, outside of Santiago.
- Professional, unbiased, organised, with both a documentary and operational approach.
- Physical condition suitable for meeting the operational demands of the project, considering travel, slopes, and prolonged work in mountainous areas.
Required skills:
- Solid knowledge of OHS regulations, MINSAL protocols, and industrial/mining standards (REECS, Zero Fatalities).
- Leadership in the field and ability to influence safe behaviour within the team.
- Orderly and rigorous document management, including reporting, accreditations, and procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and achieve set objectives.
- Effective communication, both for training and for coordination with clients and management.
- Ability to identify risks and deviations, proposing clear preventive and corrective actions.
