La Línea Vertical continues with the maintenance of fuel storage spheres at a port terminal in Peru.

La Línea Vertical Perú has started the year 2025 by resuming maintenance work on the fuel storage spheres at one of Peru’s main port terminals, a key project to ensure the safety and functionality of the structures, which is part of the cleaning and anti-corrosion treatment program for the spheres.

Thus, this January we have continued with the maintenance of the third storage sphere. The process began with a preliminary inspection to identify areas affected by corrosion and, subsequently, the anti-corrosion treatment was carried out, eliminating the presence of rust by applying SSPC-SP2, leaving the affected areas with a commercial finish.

After completing this first phase, the treated areas were washed to eliminate residual salinity and, once the salinity measurements required by the manufacturer were obtained, the three coats of paint specified were applied, according to the established technical procedure.

The project considers the resurfacing of one more sphere.
