After the recent earthquake in Turkey and Syria, which devastated large parts of both countries and has already left more than 17,500 people dead and 60,000 injured, all help is needed to rescue any survivors who may still be under the rubble.
For this reason, at LA LÍNEA VERTICAL we wanted to support the search and rescue work, in which our colleague David Aragón is participating as a volunteer, as part of a team from the Disaster Intervention Section of the NGO Bomberos Sin Fronteras.
It is a contingent of nine people and a dog that has the necessary means to carry out the tasks of searching for and locating trapped people, breaking structural-constructive elements and moving loads to access them and providing medical care, as explained by the NGO itself.
Our colleague David Aragón will bring his knowledge and experience in rescue and work in difficult access areas, for which he is highly qualified. David Aragón is also a sports technician in caving and rappelling, an instructor at the Andalusian Mountain School and a heliporting mountain rescuer, with more than 350 rescues carried out. Supporting the rescue efforts in the face of this terrible catastrophe is the least we can do from LA LÍNEA VERTICAL, where human lives and safety come first.
