La Línea Vertical continues to consolidate its presence in the international arena with the successful completion of a demanding inspection and technical maintenance project on the cranes of the port of Malta (Malta Freeport Terminal), one of the most strategic logistics infrastructures in the Mediterranean.
For several weeks, a multidisciplinary team of specialists from La Línea Vertical travelled to the island to carry out a series of planned and highly complex interventions, focusing on the structural repair, technical inspection and maintenance of heavy harbour cranes, essential for the terminal’s operations.

A highly qualified team for a critical infrastructure
For the proper implementation of the project, a technical team was mobilised, composed of:
- Work at height technicians, with extensive experience in large-scale industrial structures.
- Specialists in industrial welding, responsible for structural interventions at critical points on cranes.
- Inspectors certified in non-destructive testing, including personnel with ISO 9712 certification in magnetic particle inspection and volumetric inspection techniques (Level 2).
The combination of advanced technical competencies and international regulatory knowledge was key to meeting the client’s rigorous operational requirements in a highly regulated environment with strict security protocols.
Project on time, on budget and to quality standards
The intervention, carried out in May, was executed according to the established schedule, respecting the deadlines and the agreed budget, and complying with the technical standards required by both the client and the local port authorities.
The success of the project not only ratified the operational capacity of La Línea Vertical in international contexts, but also led to the award of a second contract in the same enclave, proof of the trust generated through technical excellence and demonstrated efficiency.
Upcoming performance in July and prospects for expansion in Malta
The next phase of work is already scheduled for the end of July, when the scope of the technical interventions will be extended to other crane units and metal structures in the port area.
With this operation, La Línea Vertical reinforces its position as a technical supplier of reference in port and industrial environments, with the capacity to operate under international standards and offer specialised solutions in height maintenance, technical inspection and non-destructive testing.
The activity in Malta is part of the group’s strategic expansion process, which continues to strengthen its presence in key European markets, providing technology, talent and high value-added technical solutions.
