An operational challenge in demanding environments
A few weeks ago, G8 carried out a major and challenging on-site training operation by relocating its mobile training tower to the premises of a major mining site in northern Chile, with the aim of delivering a specialist programme on safety for working at height.
Technical rigour and accreditation for large-scale mining
This project marked a significant milestone for our organisation, not only because of the scale of the operation, but also due to the high technical, documentary and operational standards required for its execution. Access to the site required a rigorous process of accreditation, authorisation and skills validation, including permits, documentation, certifications and compliance with internal protocols, all of which are necessary to operate within the highly demanding environment of the mining industry.
Successfully completing this process enabled G8 to set up its mobile training tower directly on the client’s premises, bringing a high-quality training experience to a real-world operational environment and tailoring the training to the specific conditions of a mining site.
Development of critical skills for over 180 staff members
Over a two-week period of continuous work, our technicians and specialist trainers delivered intensive training sessions, equipping more than 180 workers with the skills needed for critical aspects of working at height. Each session was designed with a focus on practical application, risk management and skills development, enabling participants to carry out their duties with greater preparedness, confidence and safety.
