Annually, and in accordance with current regulatory requirements, La Línea Vertical Perú coordinates with its clients, through its Engineering Department, the planning of maintenance and recertification of installed fall arrest systems, ensuring the continuity of their certification and compliance with established safety standards. This preventive process is vital to guarantee the operability of the systems, which can be affected by incorrect use, a fall event, or even environmental or natural factors.
Technical Intervention at the Factory
At the beginning of February, the process began to recertify the fall protection systems at one of the companies belonging to a major group that has made a strong entry into Peru in recent years, acquiring well-positioned local companies in various sectors. By mid-February, the recertification of the horizontal lifelines, as well as the retractable lifelines installed in different operational areas of the plant, had been completed. Close logistical coordination allowed field tests to be carried out without interrupting the normal production flow at the site.
These activities ensure that systems continue to operate under optimal conditions, guaranteeing the protection of workers who perform tasks in critical areas and at heights. Operational staff’s confidence is strengthened by knowing that their equipment has the technical support of certified experts.
Technical Rigour and European Standards
During annual maintenance, a technical inspection of all system components is carried out, verifying their condition, functionality and correct installation. As a result of this assessment, the certification is extended for an additional 12 months, in accordance with the provisions of standards EN 795 and EN 353-1. Upon completion, a detailed report is provided, guaranteeing the full operability of each workstation inspected.
