Recently, the specialist team from La Línea Vertical and G8 Vertical carried out a new project of high technical complexity: the installation of over 900 metres of roof lifelines using the 3M – DBI-SALA RoofSafe system, providing the client with a robust, reliable solution that meets the most stringent standards in fall protection.
The context of this project makes it particularly significant. Less than three years ago, the same installation had been fitted out by another company using a different brand of system. Within a surprisingly short period of time, those lifelines had undergone significant rusting, rendering them completely unusable, which highlighted the inadequacy of the previous solution in the face of the actual environmental conditions.
The client’s decision: raising the bar
Faced with this situation, the client made a key decision: to entrust G8 Vertical and La Línea Vertical with redesigning and implementing a permanent solution. The choice fell on 3M – DBI-SALA technology, a global leader in fall protection systems, and on the proven expertise of our team in other projects carried out within the same business group. That track record was decisive: it is not just a matter of installing a system, but of maintaining a technical relationship based on real results and trust built on the ground.
Training and continuity: beyond installation
The project also included a highly valuable strategic component: the client’s in-house staff completed specialised training as 3M Qualified Personnel, strengthening their skills in the inspection, monitoring and independent management of their fall protection systems. In addition, recertification is scheduled for next year at no cost, ensuring the continuity of the training process and keeping the team’s skills aligned with industry best practices.
From a regulatory perspective, this solution enables the client to meet the ISP’s standardised criteria and requirements, thereby enhancing their level of control, traceability and compliance in relation to work at height. The logistical execution of the project met the same high standards: coordination, efficiency and operational continuity at every stage.

A lifeline is a safety measure
At La Línea Vertical, we understand that a lifeline is not just a system that has been installed: it is a safety decision that must deliver when it is needed most. When a system fails prematurely, simply replacing it is not enough; we need to review our approach, raise the standard and ensure a solution that truly protects people.
This project reflects exactly that: moving from a failed installation to a reliable, certified and technically superior solution, delivered by La Línea Vertical and 3M – DBI-SALA technology.
