Security Escort for Telecom Antenna Maintenance in Cusco

At the beginning of December, the LLV Perú team travelled to the facilities of a major mining plant located in the province of Cusco.

Prior to the start of activities, LLV staff gave a technical talk to the operational team, focusing on rope access techniques and safety when working at height, aimed at personnel who had to access the highest point of the tower to carry out maintenance on the telecommunications antenna.

This training was carried outin compliance with IRATA international standards, as well as current national occupational health and safety regulations, ensuring the correct use of fall arrest systems, lifelines, certified equipment and rescue procedures.

Once the induction was complete, the LLV team installed a temporary lifeline along the power tower, in accordance with established safety standards. Thanks to this implementation, technical personnel were able to safely access and successfully perform maintenance work on the antenna, minimising risks and ensuring the safety of personnel and facilities.
