LA LÍNEA VERTICAL has increased its fleet of aircraft with the acquisition of a new drone: the DJI Matrice 300 RTK with the H20T thermal imaging camera from the Zenmuse H20 series. We are very satisfied with this new tool, as it is a latest generation aircraft that, with its high quality sensors, will allow us to obtain accurate images and data quickly and efficiently in our industrial and professional activities, incorporating new concepts that are increasingly in demand, such as thermographic data.
In the industrial sector in which LA LÍNEA VERTICAL works, this field can quickly and accurately provide us with thermal values, which are very useful in tasks such as the identification of areas with leaks in the insulation of process lines or the identification of specific areas with defects in the insulation that reduce its efficiency and, therefore, lead to significant heat loss. This sensor is also very useful in rescue tasks, helping significantly in the search for and identification of injured or lost persons.
The DJI Matrice 300 RTK has a payload capacity of up to 2.7kg and can fly for up to 55 minutes, allowing us to cover large areas and collect detailed data in a single mission. One of the improvements in the autonomy of this drone compared to other aircraft is that it allows battery replacement without the need to reboot the system, making it possible to continue work in a matter of seconds. It also has centimetre-accurate positioning thanks to its RTK system, which guarantees unparalleled data quality.
The H20T camera in the Zenmuse H20 series allows us to capture high-resolution thermal images in fine detail, enabling us to detect and fix problems in installations and equipment before they become more serious problems. In addition, the 20-megapixel camera has a hybrid zoom (23x optical and up to 200x digital), a wide-angle of up to 120 megapixels and a laser rangefinder with a distance range of up to 1,200 metres, allowing us to safely and efficiently inspect objects and areas at a distance, avoiding unnecessary approaches and further improving safety in our operations, thus reducing the risk of accidents in the workplace.
As is well known, air permissions in the industries where LA LÍNEA VERTICAL carries out technical work are quite restrictive. With this new incorporation, we have gained quite a few points in the aspect of weight, as this is considerably lower than that of our previous main aircraft (DJI Matrice 600 Pro), thus reducing the limiting range of 10 kg. This allows us to increase the range of work to hitherto rather limited areas.
